Telephone service in Bajura village discontinued from past week

BAJURA: Telephone service has come to a halt for the last seven days following glitches in towers at Badimalika in the district, affecting the subscribers.

The local people have vented their ire against the failure of Nepal Telecom to fix the problems in the towers.

When asked, Bal Bahadur Thapa, ward chair of Badimalika municipality-5, said local Managad micro hydropower has been providing power to the repeater tower.

But in course of supplying power to the tower, there were problems witnessed in the turbine of the powerhouse of the hydropower.

“So the hydropower discontinued power supply to the repeater tower, affecting telephone service. The problem will be resolved soon,” he said.
