KATHMANDU: Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Lalbabu Pandit on Thursday said he was committed to completing the integration of government employees.

Speaking at the meeting of State Affairs and Good Governance Committee, Minister Pandit said that some of the employees dissatisfied with the integration used abusive language against him.

“Two Deputy Secretaries acted as they will thrash me. They questioned me why they should go the place assigned by me, adding that they will spit remembering me as the worst ministers to work with,” Minister Pandit said while taking part in the discussion of the proposed Federal Civil Service Act.

The minister added that government employees are more attracted to foreign junkets.

“I found that a Joint Secretary spent 210 days a year in foreign. How can we expect that such employees will work for the country?” he questioned.
