NC parliamentary party in Bagmati calls for fair probe into CM Baniya’s money laundering allegation



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress Bagmati Province parliamentary party has called for an impartial and fair investigation into allegations of money laundering against Chief Minister Indra Bahadur Baniya.

A meeting of the parliamentary party held today at the Provincial Good Governance Centre in Jawalakhel made the decision. The meeting was chaired by parliamentary party leader and Chief Minister Baniya himself.

According to party secretary Min Krishna Maharjan, the meeting concluded that the concerned authorities should ensure a transparent and credible investigation process.

The meeting also decided that while selecting projects for the Bagmati Province government’s fiscal year 2083/84, priority will be given to the demands of provincial assembly members and the geographical conditions of their respective constituencies.
