Details of foreign employment fraudsters made public



KATHMANDU: The Department of Foreign Employment has released the names of individuals accused of defrauding people seeking jobs abroad.

The Department published a notice listing those registered with its Investigation and Case Section for offenses related to foreign employment fraud.

A total of 352 individuals have been formally accused, while over 352 others are named as defendants. Remarkably, some single complaints involve more than 810 defendants, with these cases filed within just one month.

Meanwhile, the Nepal Police have arrested 13 individuals in various parts of the Kathmandu Valley for harassing passengers. Officers stationed at Kalanki and New Bus Park apprehended helpers of drivers who were forcing travelers to use specific vehicles, according to police spokesperson Pavan Bhattarai. Two days earlier, authorities had arrested 16 similar offenders in the valley.
