NCP secretariat meeting taking place today

KATHMANDU: A secretariat meeting of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is taking place on Monday.

The meeting is taking place at 9 am at the prime minister’s official residence in Baluwatar.

The meeting is expected to sort out the remaining task of the party unification, said NCP spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha.

The meeting is expected to elect the leadership of the election commission, disciplinary commission, senior communist forum, national council and national advisory council among others.

According to sources, the NCP chairperson duo KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal reached a deal on the leadership appointment for the remaining commissions of the party in yesterday’s meeting.

The meeting had also touched upon the change in the ministerial portfolios.

This agenda can be included in today’s secretariat meeting. However, spokesperson Shrestha denied it being included in the agenda.
