Balen Shah appointed parliamentary party leader of RSP, set to take oath as PM Friday



KATHMANDU: Senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Balen Shah, has been appointed the party’s parliamentary party leader.

Party Chair Rabi Lamichhane proposed Shah’s appointment during a Central Committee meeting. The committee unanimously endorsed him as parliamentary party leader, confirming him as the future Prime Minister.

Following this, preparations are underway for a joint meeting of the RSP Central Committee and the parliamentary party. Shah is expected to take the oath as Prime Minister on Friday after his formal selection by the joint meeting.
