Rain likely in Karnali and Sudurpashchim

KATHMANDU: The weather is expected to remain generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous regions of Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces, while other parts of the country will see partly cloudy conditions.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, there is a possibility of moderate rain, snowfall, and thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and hail at some places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Karnali and Sudurpashchim.

Similar conditions are likely at a few locations in Lumbini and Gandaki provinces, and at one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi and Bagmati, as well as parts of the Tarai in Sudurpashchim.

Meteorological analysis indicates that the current weather pattern is influenced by a partial effect of a westerly low-pressure system along with local winds.
