KATHMANDU: The weather is expected to remain generally cloudy over Koshi Province, Madhesh Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, and Lumbini Province, as well as in the hilly regions of Karnali Province and Sudurpashchim Province.
Other areas of the country are likely to experience partly cloudy conditions. According to the Weather Forecasting Division, there is a possibility of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at some places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and at a few locations in Madhesh Province.
Similarly, one or two places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces, as well as the Tarai areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, may also witness light rainfall and snowfall in higher elevations.
Meteorological analysis by the Division indicates that Nepal is currently under the partial influence of westerly winds, along with a high-pressure system in the upper atmosphere and a low-pressure system in the lower atmosphere near the eastern part of the country.
