Conversely, maximum temperatures decrease if it remains cloudy throughout the day and increase when skies are clear and sunny.

Despite daily fluctuations, meteorologists note that overall temperatures are gradually rising as winter draws to a close.

The Division records daily minimum and maximum temperatures across the country, including Kathmandu. The lowest temperature recorded in a 24-hour period is considered the minimum temperature, while the highest is the maximum temperature.

The minimum temperature is officially measured at 8:45 am and the maximum at 5:45 pm. According to meteorologists, the minimum temperature reflects weather conditions from night to early morning, while the maximum temperature indicates conditions during the daytime.
