KATHMANDU: Kathmandu recorded a minimum temperature of 9.0 degrees Celsius at 5:45 am today, the Weather Forecasting Division said.
At the same time on Tuesday, the temperature was 8.6 degrees Celsius, but it fell further to 8.3 degrees Celsius at 8:45 am, which was recorded as the official minimum for the day. The Division measures the minimum temperature twice daily, with the final reading considered the official figure as it represents the lowest temperature reached.
On Monday, the minimum temperature in the capital was 7.9 degrees Celsius. The Division records minimum and maximum temperatures daily at stations across the country. The minimum temperature is officially noted at 8:45 am, while the maximum temperature is recorded at 5:45 pm.
According to meteorologists, despite minor fluctuations, temperatures are gradually rising across the country, including in the Kathmandu Valley.
