Candidates’ personal details made public



KATHMANDU: The Election Commission has made public the personal details of election candidates.

According to Commission spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, the personal details submitted by candidates along with their nomination papers have been disclosed in line with Clause 22(1) and Schedule-10 of the Directives Related to HoR Election, 2082, and made public as per Sub-clause (3) of the same provision.

The Commission stated that making candidates’ personal details public is necessary to ensure transparency, fairness, and credibility in the election process. In accordance with legal provisions, details of all concerned candidates have been published on the Commission’s official website.

The move is expected to help voters, stakeholders, media organisations, and the general public easily access essential information about the candidates.

The Election Commission has informed that the candidates’ personal details can be viewed on its official website.
