KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli has said that the party may have to take to the streets while simultaneously preparing for the upcoming elections.
Speaking at the party office in Chyasal on Saturday while welcoming former JSP-Nepal central member and share investor Dipendra Agrawal into the UML, Oli said the government appears intent on troubling and humiliating his party, which could force it to resort to protest alongside election preparations.
Oli said the current political situation has reached a decisive point of whether the country will win or lose, urging all to stand on the side of safeguarding the nation. He reiterated that UML’s core objective is a prosperous Nepal and a happy Nepali people.
He added that UML is not merely another political party but one moving forward with a clear destination. Taking an indirect swipe at newly formed parties, Oli remarked that some lack a clear vision or goal.
Meanwhile, addressing the gathering after joining the UML, Agrawal said he entered the party to help ensure a secure future for the capital market. He stated that he has consistently advocated for a transparent, safe, and investment-friendly capital market.
