Nepali Congress office bearers to assume office today



KATHMANDU: Office bearers elected from the Nepali Congress Special General Convention are set to formally assume office on Friday.

According to the secretariat of party President Gagan Kumar Thapa, the oath-taking and assumption of office will take place at 1 pm at the party’s central office in Sanepa.

Soon after assuming office, a meeting of the Central Working Committee (CWC) will be held, the secretariat said.

In a statement, Thapa’s secretariat said, “All newly elected office bearers and Central Working Committee members, including Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa, will assume office at 1 pm today at the party’s central office in Sanepa. As a Central Committee meeting will follow immediately, we cordially invite all journalist friends to attend.”
