NEPSE inches up by 6.74 points



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index posted a marginal gain on Monday, rising by 6.74 points amid a total turnover of Rs 3.44 billion.

Out of the total traded companies, the share prices of 155 companies advanced, while 94 companies witnessed a decline. The share prices of 10 companies remained unchanged during the session.

Despite the modest rise in the benchmark index, most sectoral indices ended the day in positive territory. Sub-indices of hotels and tourism, investment, microfinance, mutual funds and the ‘others’ category declined, while all remaining groups closed higher.
