President holds all-party meeting to discuss political situation



KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Poudel has convened an all-party meeting to discuss the current political landscape and the upcoming election scheduled for March 5, 2026. Prime Minister Sushila Karki, along with senior leaders from major parties, is participating in the discussions.

From the Nepali Congress, Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka and General Secretary Gagan Thapa are attending. Representing CPN-UML are Senior Vice President Ishwor Pokharel and General Secretary Shankar Pokharel.

Leaders Narayan Kaji Shrestha and Barshaman Pun represent the Maoist Center, while Acting Chairman DP Aryal and Joint General Secretary Bipin Kumar Acharya are attending on behalf of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).

Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) is represented by Gyanendra Shahi and Meena Lama, and the Unified Socialist Party by senior leader Rajendra Pandey and General Secretary Ghanshyam Bhusal.

Other participants include Renu Yadav from JSP; Chairman CK Raut and Jaya Bahadur Raut from the Janamat Party; Gyanendra Jha and Sarbendra Nath Shukla from Loktantrik Samajwadi Party; Resham Chaudhary from Nagarik Unmukti Party; and Sunil Kumar Prajapati from Nepal Workers and Peasants Party.
