Gen-Z Movement martyrs’ families demand three ministries from government

KATHMANDU: The families of Gen-Z Movement martyrs have demanded three ministries from the government.

On Thursday, the Gen-Z Martyrs’ Family Struggle Committee held a press conference in Kathmandu, stating that the government, which was formed by the blood of the martyrs, had ignored them, and that their presence in the cabinet was necessary as a warning.

Ganesh Chaulagain, father of martyr Shreeyam Chaulagain, complained that neither Prime Minister Sushila Karki nor any Gen-Z groups had paid attention to their concerns.

Chaulagain said that despite submitting memorandums repeatedly to various ministries, the government had not addressed their demands, causing deep suffering for the martyrs’ families.

The committee recommended the following appointments:

Ministry of Labour and Employment: Deepak Chaudhary, brother of martyr Bijay Chaudhary

Ministry of Water Supply: Bhoj Bikram Thapa, relative of martyr Iswat Adhikari

Ministry of Youth and Sports: Kamal Subedi, uncle of martyr Yogendra Nyaupane

The committee warned that if the government does not respond to their demand within seven days, they will launch a strong protest.
