Four cadres of Biplav outfit arrested



PARBAT: The District Police Office, Parbat, has arrested four cadres of the Netra Bikram Chand alias Biplav-led group whose activities have been banned.

Police arrested Kaski district secretary Janga Bahadur Bhandari, 41, of Gangadev Rural Municipality-2 in Rolpa district, CPN All Revolutionary’s central member Milan Rai, 26, of Bhojour Municipality-12, CPN All Revolutionary Kaski district Chairman Kaji Gurung, 27, of Sulkot Rural Municipality-6 in Gorkha district and CPN well-wisher Mahendra Bhandari, 31, of Dhorpatan Municipality-6 in Baglung district.

Earlier, they were released on the bail of Rs 5,000 each after the District Court had ordered their release on October 15 on bail.

They were imprisoned for not being able to post a bail of Rs 5,000 each.

Police had arrested them from their meeting on June 8 on the charge of treason. Preparation was underway to send the arrested cadres to the District Police Office, Baglung, according to the Police Inspector Rajan Rayamajhi.
