KAILALI: A man died and another was injured in a scooter accident on Sunday night at Rajpur, Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-13, in Kailali district.
The accident occurred when the scooter lost control and crashed into a road divider, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Tek Bahadur Jora, spokesperson for the Sudurpaschim Province Traffic Office.
The rider, 24-year-old Pranjal Bam of Purchaudi Municipality-8 in Baitadi, was rushed to Maya Metro Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The pillion rider, 26-year-old Saroj Bam, is currently undergoing treatment at the same hospital. The scooter involved in the accident bore the registration number Su Pa Pra 011011 PA 4473.
