Man arrested for misbehaving with on-duty police in Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a man on charges of verbally abusing and misbehaving with officers deployed for road safety duty.

According to the Kathmandu District Police Range, 36-year-old Newang Tamang of Ghyanglekh Rural Municipality-5, Sindhuli, was taken into custody from Buddhanagar in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-10.

Tamang allegedly used offensive language and engaged in misconduct towards police personnel on duty. A video of the incident had circulated on social media, prompting police action.

The Kathmandu District Police Range said further investigation into the incident is underway.
