KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City has distributed ambulances to rural municipalities across the country, prioritizing remote and underserved areas.
According to Deepak Kumar KC, head of the city’s Health Department, 35 rural municipalities selected on the basis of set criteria received ambulances in the first phase on Tuesday.
Applications were invited from local governments, and ambulances were allocated following a transparent process, with priority given to areas lacking adequate health services.
