KATHMANDU: Dr. Sangeeta Kaushal Mishra has been recommended for the post of Health Minister. The Cabinet meeting on Sunday recommended Mishra, who also serves as the Ministry’s Additional Secretary, for the position.
Following the clear possibility of becoming minister, Dr. Mishra resigned from her previous post on Sunday. Her extensive administrative experience and long-term involvement in the health sector were cited as reasons for assigning her the political leadership of the ministry.
With the Cabinet’s decision, Dr. Mishra is now preparing to take full responsibility for health policy formulation and its implementation.
