Taskforce formed to identify problems seen in capital market



KATHMANDU: The government has established a four-member task force to identify the issues observed in the capital market.

Spokesperson of the Ministry of Finance, Tanka Prasad Pandey, stated that a task force has been formed to investigate the anomalies and problems that have surfaced in the capital market and to present suggestions and a solid implementation action plan (roadmap) for systemic and procedural reforms necessary to immediately enhance the morale of general investors.

A task force has been formed under the chairmanship of Rupesh KC, the executive director of the Securities Board.

The members of the task force include Director of the Nepal Rastra Bank, Sharan Adhikari, and Acting Executive Director of the Nepal Stock Exchange Limited, Niranjan Bhattarai, while Under-Secretary at the Ministry of Finance, Sharad Niraula, is the member-secretary.
