KATHMANDU: The Federal Parliament Secretariat has appealed for the return of materials taken during the Gen-Z protest on September 9, when demonstrators set fire to parts of the Parliament building in New Baneshwor.
Issuing a public notice on Monday, the Secretariat called on individuals to return any items that may be in their possession, or to provide information about the whereabouts of such property.
“If any of the items are with you, please return them. If you know where they are located or who possesses them, kindly inform the Federal Parliament Secretariat,” the notice stated.
The Secretariat also urged the public to share any video footage showing individuals carrying away property during the incident, assuring that the identities of those providing information would be kept confidential.
According to inspections and information gathered from various sources after the arson, vandalism, and looting at the Parliament complex, several items belonging to the Secretariat were taken away.
These include tables, chairs, computers, printers, scanners, cameras, televisions, monitors, microphones, audio mixers, speakers, photocopy machines, and other electronic equipment.
