KATHMANDU: Prime Minister K P Oli has reiterated his claim that the government was moving ahead to fulfilling its target of “Prosperous Nepal; Happy Nepali”.

The government, he claimed, is working to maintain a corruption-free society and ensuring good governance.

He urged all sections of the society to get out of the illusion that the government is doing nothing concrete. “I urge one and all to look at the brighter sides with their eyes open,” PM Oli said during the tea-reception organized by his party, Nepal Communist Party (NCP) on the occasion of Dashain, Tihar and Chhat festivals in Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu today.

“Do not run behind rumors,” he urged saying that such rumors “will take us nowhere.”

He said that Nepal had made its new way towards development and prosperity by strengthening its ties with its neighbors and beginning new projects.

“We need to build our nation ourselves,” he said seeking the contribution of all sides to build a cultured society, rule of law, good governance and free from corruption.

People making negative remarks against the government might have their own interests, adding, “A lot of things such as raise in the old-age allowance, people’s investment in hydropower, construction of Pokhara and Bhairahawa airports, the construction of a fast track, commencement of petroleum pipeline service, among others have been accomplished.”
