Beni Provincial Hospital begins services from new building

MYAGDI: Beni Provincial Hospital has officially begun offering both internal and external (outpatient department) services from a newly constructed building, easing long-standing service delivery challenges caused by years of operating from cramped, temporary facilities.

After nearly eight years of functioning from makeshift rooms, the hospital has now relocated its treatment services to a modern building, significantly improving patient care and working conditions for healthcare professionals.

According to Dr. Ravi Ranjan Pradhan, Chief of Beni Provincial Hospital, outpatient services are now being operated from the ground floor, while internal services are running from the first floor of the new building.

“It was difficult for patients and uncomfortable for health workers to provide services in the old, cramped building,” said Dr. Pradhan.

“We are working to shift surgical, maternity, and pharmacy services to the new building soon, pending resolution of some administrative procedures.”

To facilitate the transition, a subcommittee was formed under the Hospital Management Committee, coordinating with the building construction office and the contractor. The hospital has now arranged dedicated treatment rooms for senior citizens, children, women, men, and post-operative patients.

Local resident Amrit Garbuja of Annapurna Rural Municipality-1, Dowa, expressed satisfaction, saying it is now easier to receive services in the new facility.
