KATHMANDU: The scholarship entrance examination conducted by Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) for students seeking admission in institutional schools under the scholarship quota for grades 11 and 12 has been completed in an orderly and organized manner.
According to KMC’s Education Department, the exam was held on Saturday from 8 to 10 a.m. across 54 examination centers.
Of the 17,229 applications received from all 77 districts, 16,137 students were selected to sit for the test. Among them, 14,173 students appeared in the examination.
The test was based on the grade 10 curriculum and consisted of 100 multiple-choice questions, 30 each from Mathematics, Science, and English, and 10 from General Knowledge. There was no negative marking, and students were required to score a minimum of 40 percent to pass.
The Education Department said that results will be published by Sunday.
