KATHMANDU: A day after an audio recording surfaced allegedly implicating him in a Rs 3.2 million bribe scandal, Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Balram Adhikari, held a press conference to highlight what he called 70 accomplishments in his first year in office.
Despite the mounting controversy, Minister Adhikari maintained his stance of transparency, stating that he is open to any investigation regarding the allegations made against him.
The minister’s attempt to focus on his achievements comes as political and public pressure grows for accountability and a thorough inquiry into the bribery claims.
