Heavy rain likely in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim



KATHMANDU: Monsoon winds are currently influencing weather patterns across the country. According to the Weather Forecasting Division, this afternoon, the country will experience partly to generally cloudy skies.

Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is expected in some hilly areas of all provinces, as well as in certain other parts of the country.

Heavy rainfall is likely in one or two locations within Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim Provinces. Additionally, light to moderate rain and snowfall may occur in some high hill and mountainous regions.

Tonight, skies will remain partly to generally cloudy nationwide. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is anticipated in some hilly areas of Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces, as well as in other provinces and scattered locations elsewhere.

Heavy rain is also possible in one or two places within Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim Provinces. The Division had further reported a chance of light to moderate rain and snowfall at one or two spots in the country’s high hill and mountainous zones.
