Pakistan Embassy in Kathmandu observes Youm-e-Tashakur

KATHMANDU: The Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu observed Youm-e-Tashakur (Day of Gratitude) on Saturday.

In a dignified ceremony, Ambassador of Pakistan Abrar H. Hashmi hoisted the national flag, joined by embassy officials, members of the Pakistani community in Nepal, their families, and friends.

The gathering paid tribute to the resolute response of Pakistan’s Armed Forces. Special prayers were offered for the Shuhada (martyrs) of the Maraka-e-Haq—including both military personnel and civilians—as well as for the speedy recovery of the injured, and for the continued peace, progress, and prosperity of Pakistan.

In his remarks, Ambassador Hashmi stated, “Today, we bow in gratitude to Almighty Allah and pay tribute to the resilient people and armed forces of Pakistan for their unwavering faith, unity, and determination shown once again in the face of recent war with India.”

He further added, “Amidst the bright smiles of those in attendance, we celebrate Pakistan’s success across all fronts and reaffirm our resolve to defend its sovereignty against any future aggression.”

Ambassador Hashmi also acknowledged the support of Pakistan’s friends and the role of the international community in promoting peace and stability in the region.

He expressed special thanks to the Government and people of Nepal for their continued friendship and solidarity.

The Embassy extended heartfelt appreciation to its staff, the Pakistani community, and Nepalese friends for their unwavering support.
