Committees formed for organizing SAG



KATHMANDU: Nepal has formed several committees as preparations for the 13th South Asian Games (SAG) to be organized in Nepal.

The national team preparation committee has Rim Bahadur Ranabhat as the coordinator and Mahendra Kumar Rai as secretary.

Likewise, the National Sports Council’s former member-secretary Keshab Kumar Bista and Lawa Bhakta Shrestha have been entrusted to work as coordinator and secretary, respectively for the sports spot management.

Likewise, the committee has also assigned Ganga Bahadur Thapa as coordinator for the technical works. Meanwhile, Umesh Lal Shrestha has been appointed as the coordinator for resource mobilization, and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sarbendra Nath Khanal as the coordinator for security.

Tasi Ghale has been given the task of a coordinator for accommodation.

Similarly, Arjun Bahadur KC has been given the responsibility to work as the coordinator for transport management, Shiva Koirala for publicity, Dr Ajaya Shumsher Rana for health, Binod Shrestha for volunteer mobilization, Armed Police Force IGP Shailendra Khanal for function management, Amar Singh Shah for guest welcome and hospitality, and Ana Prasad Neuapne for monitoring and evaluation, among others.

A total of 27 games will be played in the SAG.
