Three Parliamentary Committees meeting today

KATHMANDU: Three committees of the Federal Parliament are set to convene today—the Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance Committee; the Legislative Management Committee; and the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee.

The Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance Committee will meet at 11 AM in the committee room at Singha Durbar.

The meeting will focus on evaluating the Ministry of Water Supply’s progress in areas such as drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene, along with its plans and preparations for the upcoming fiscal year’s budget.

The Legislative Management Committee is scheduled to gather at 1 PM, also at Singha Durbar.

This meeting will include discussions with the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers concerning legislation that has yet to be passed in line with constitutional provisions.

Later in the day, at 2:30 PM, the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee will meet in Singha Durbar to hold consultations with the civil service trade union.

The discussion will center on the Federal Civil Service Bill, 2080, which aims to establish guidelines for the structure, functioning, and service conditions of the federal civil service.
