Royal Bengal tiger found dead in Kailali

KAILALI: A Royal Bengal tiger was found dead at Janashakti Community Forest of Tikapur Municipality-2 in Kailali district on Saturday.

The female adult tiger was found dead in the forest, shared Dilip Yadav, the Chief at the Sub-Division Forest Office, Tikapur. Yadav shared that the front part of the tiger has wounds.

Considering the malodour emanated from the lifeless big cat, its death is estimated to have occurred some days ago in an attack by the male tiger, Yadav stated.

A team of technicians including Dr Ayush Maharjan has reached the site from the Bardiya National Park for further investigations on the death of the Bengal Royal tiger.
