Air pollution in Kathmandu Valley rises as rains subside



KATHMANDU: Air pollution levels in the Kathmandu Valley have surged once again as recent rains and winds begin to taper off.

On Saturday, Kathmandu was ranked 42nd among the world’s most polluted cities.

As of 9:45 a.m. today (Sunday), it has climbed to seventh place, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 153.
