Lightning kills one, injures seven in Doti



DOTI: A woman was killed and seven others, including four children, were injured when lightning struck a house in Dallekh, Sayal Rural Municipality-6, Doti district on Wednesday night.

According to Superintendent of Police Binod Sharma at the Doti District Police Office, the deceased has been identified as 33-year-old Kamala Nagari. She was inside the house with her children when the lightning, accompanied by heavy rain, storm, and hailstones, struck.

Her 10-year-old daughter Tara, eight-year-old son Abishek, six-year-old son Abi, and three-month-old son Shankar sustained injuries. In addition, 40-year-old Tara Nagari, 80-year-old Kali Damai, and six-year-old Khusi Nagari, daughter of Bhim Nagari, were also injured in the incident.

Police said treatment for the injured is underway.
