PM Oli, Thai counterpart meeting today, to sign key agreements



BANGKOK: Prime Minister (PM) KP Oli, who is in Bangkok for an official visit and to attend the 6th BIMSTEC Summit, is set to meet with his Thai counterpart, Paetongtarn Shinawatra, today.

This marks the first official visit by a Nepali Prime Minister to Thailand at the friendly invitation of Prime Minister Shinawatra.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two leaders will sign an agreement on cooperation in culture and tourism.

Additionally, six agreements will be exchanged between non-governmental and commercial organizations from both countries.

Following the signing, the prime ministers will hold a joint press conference.

Later, Prime Minister Oli will attend a luncheon hosted in his honor by his Thai counterpart.

He is also scheduled to pay a courtesy call on King Maha Vajiralongkorn of Thailand today.

Prime Minister Oli will return home on Tuesday after concluding his official visit.
