President assigns DPM Singh to oversee PM’s daily administrative duties during PM Oli’s absence

KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel has designated Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development, Prakash Man Singh, to oversee the daily administrative affairs of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers during Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s absence.

Prime Minister Oli departed for an official visit to Thailand today (April 1-5), at the cordial invitation of Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra.

PM Oli is scheduled to attend the Sixth Summit of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral, Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) on April 4, where he will deliver an address.

Following the recommendation of Prime Minister Oli, President Paudel entrusted Deputy Prime Minister Singh with the responsibility of managing the Prime Minister’s daily administrative tasks in line with the Constitution, as confirmed by the Office of the President.
