Department of Drug Administration approves registration of 25 new medicines



KATHMANDU: The Department of Drug Administration has approved the registration of 25 types of new drugs, including new molecules and combinations, for use in specific diseases and conditions.

The decision was made during the 57th meeting of the Drug Advisory Committee. According to the department, the proposal for the registration of these drugs has already been approved, with the registration process following the established methods and procedures.

A notice issued by the department, dated March 9, informs all concerned parties about the approval and the upcoming registration of the 25 new drugs and combinations, aimed at improving treatment options for various health conditions.

This move is expected to expand the availability of essential medicines in Nepal, enhancing healthcare access and treatment efficacy for patients.
