Pillion rider killed as trucks hits motorcycle in Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: A man was killed when a truck (Na 6 Kha 2744) hit a motorcycle (Ba 89 Pa 4329) in Chandragiri municipality-14 in Kathmandu.

The deceased has been identified as local resident Manish Karki, 22, who was a pillion passenger on the ill-fated motorcycle. Karki died at National Trauma Centre, said the police.

The motorcycle rider, Basanta Karki seriously injured in the accident was receiving treatment at the Centre. The police have held the truck driver and the truck.
