NEPSE sees marginal increase



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) saw a slight increase on the last trading day of Magh, rising by 1.86 points (0.06%) to close at 2685.73 points.

Despite the modest gain, trading activity remained significant, with 15.52 million shares worth Rs 8.71 billion changing hands.

Among the listed companies, 134 recorded a price increase, 99 saw a decline, and 11 remained unchanged.

A total of 307 companies were traded in 82,850 transactions. Out of 13 market groups, four posted gains while nine declined.

The highest trading group fell by 0.91%, while the non-life insurance group saw the smallest decline at 0.03%.

On the positive side, the finance group recorded the highest increase at 1.56%, followed by non-life insurance, which gained 0.48%.
