KATHMANDU: Wrapping up three-day Nepal visit, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi returned home on Tuesday.

State Minister for Health and Population Dr. Surendra Kumar Yadav, Nepali Ambassador to China Leela Mani Poudyal, Foreign Secretary Shankar Das Bairagi and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi among others were present at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) to see off the Chinese Minister.

Wang, who arrived in Nepal on an invitation of Nepal’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Pradeep Gyawali, was involved in high-level political engagements in Nepal.

During his stay, he met Foreign Minister Gyawali, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Nepal Communist Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba.

In his presence, Nepal and China signed three agreements on mutual cooperation and partnership.

The delegation from the two countries led by respective Foreign Ministers signed two letters of exchange and a Memorandum of Understanding.
