British Prince Edward arrives in Nepal



KATHMANDU: Prince Edward, the British royal, and his wife, Sophie, have arrived in Nepal for an official visit.

They were welcomed at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) by Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai and other officials on Tuesday.

The couple arrived separately and is scheduled to meet President Ram Chandra Poudel this afternoon.

According to the Office of the President, they are scheduled to meet President Paudel today itself.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that the royal couple will be in Nepal for six days.

During their visit, they will attend a program at the British Gurkha Camp in Pokhara and are also scheduled to visit the Annapurna Range.
