Ruling coalition to stand united on ordinance in Parliament

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the ruling coalition has resolved to present a unified voice on the ordinance and prioritize making the upcoming winter session of Parliament as productive as possible. The session is set to begin on January 31.

The meeting, held in Baluwatar on Monday evening, concluded that all parties would adopt a united stance to ensure the success of the winter session, according to UML Chief Whip Mahesh Bartoula.

Speaking after the meeting, Bartoula said, “The key issue was how to make the winter session effective. The government has issued an ordinance, which has generally been received positively.”

He added, “It has sent a favorable message, especially in terms of encouraging the private sector. This was discussed, and there is no confusion within the ruling coalition on this matter. We have agreed that the entire ruling coalition in Parliament will move forward in unity.”

Bartoula also emphasized that the ordinance introduced by the government has been well received by all parties involved.

He further mentioned that it has been decided that top leaders, including the Prime Minister, will address the first session of Parliament.

The ruling parties will stand united throughout the proceedings, aiming to strengthen Parliament and ensure its effectiveness.
