Minister Dahal directs officials to use their rights

KATHMANDU: Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Devendra Dahal has asked civil servants to confidently exercise their rights ensured by the laws while considering their responsibilities with fair motives.

Inaugurating the 12th convention of the departmental committee of Nepal Civil Employees’ Organization of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Minister Dahal urged civil servants to internalize the people’s aspirations for prompt service delivery and rapid development.

On the occasion, he argued that the government accomplished so many things in the six months since its formation.
Notable achievements include Dhedre tunnel in the Tarai-Madhesh expressway, a breakthrough in a tunnel in Siddhababa along the Siddharatha Highway, preparations for the operation of the Nagdhunga tunnel route and the advancement in roads development across the country.

Minister Dahal also mentioned that some bills would be tabled in the parliament’s winter session.

Likewise, the Minister claimed that bailey bridges along the BP Highway are being installed after the road there was damaged in the monsoon flooding and added that the Ministry was working to fully run the vehicles in the upcoming rainy season.

Ministry’s Secretary Keshav Kumar Sharma underscored the need of civil servants’ organization and trade unions to create an enabling climate for prompt work execution.
