37 DSPs recommended for promotion to SP

KATHMANDU: The Police Headquarters has recommended 37 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) for promotion to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP).

The Secretariat of the Police Headquarters Promotion Committee made the recommendation on Friday night to fill 37 vacant SP posts following recent promotions.

Kuldeep Chand has been ranked first in the promotion list, followed by Sumit Khadka in second place and Thakur Prasad Pokharel in third.

Other DSPs recommended for promotion include Manohar Prasad Bhatta, Deepak Giri, Navin Krishna Bhandari, Tilak Bharati, Keshav Kumar Thebe, and Surya Bahadur Khadka. Deepak Shrestha, Prem Bahadur Shahi, Tek Bahadur Karki Chhetri, Phanindra Prasai, Bharat Kumar Thapa Chhetri, Yubaraj Khadka, Rajan Chapagain, and Kishore Kumar Shrestha are also on the list.

Additionally, Mukunda Prasad Rijal, Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, Rabindranath Poudel, Dan Bahadur Thapa, Sudipraj Pathak, Nishan Thapa, Kavita Katwal, Rameshwor Poudel, Rukesh Tandukar, and Dadhiram Neupane have been recommended for promotion. Others include Navin Karki, Shyam Kumar Sarumagar, Narendra Kunwar, Narayan Prasad Adhikari, Bheshraj Rijal, Nirmal Budhathoki, Nawaraj Malla, Dillinarayan Pandey, Laldhwaj Subedi, and Rugam Bahadur Kunwar.

The recommendation process is part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen leadership within the police force and ensure effective management at all levels.
