KATHMANDU: The government has decided not to hike public transportation fare before Dashain and Tihar festivals.

A meeting comprising of government officials, consumer rights activists and transport entrepreneurs decided to that effect, according to the Department of Transport Management.

Transport entrepreneurs had been calling for a hike in public transportation fare before the festive season citing increased operational costs.
