Magar community celebrates Maghe Sankranti with traditional songs and dances (In photos)



KATHMANDU: On the occasion of Maghe Sankranti, the Magar community organized a special program in Kathmandu on Tuesday.

The Nepal Magar Association hosted the event at Tundikhel, featuring cultural dances, art, and displays showcasing the rich traditions of the community.

Children, youth, and elders of the Magar community adorned themselves in traditional attire for the celebration. The community observed rituals by offering blessings and gifts to daughters and relatives.

The program also included performances of renowned traditional dances and songs such as Hurra, Kaura, Maruni, Bhyaure, Tappa, and Salaiju, reflecting the vibrant cultural heritage of the Magar community.
