NEPSE up 6.38 points finishing at 2,653.23



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) saw an increase, along with a notable surge in trading activity on Wednesday.

NEPSE rose by 6.38 points, with a total turnover of Rs 6.4 billion. The index gained 0.24 percent, reaching 2,653.23 points.

Of the 305 companies involved in trading today, 139 companies saw an increase in share prices, while 95 companies experienced a decline. Eight companies had stable share prices. There were 72,120 transactions conducted.

Out of the 13 sectors, seven sectors experienced a decrease, while six sectors saw an increase. The Finance sector was the top performer, increasing by 4.77 percent, while the hydro-power sector rose by the smallest margin of 0.26 percent.

On the downside, the Trading sector saw the largest drop, falling by 1.56 percent, while the Hotel and Tourism sector saw the smallest drop of 0.06 percent.
