UML members to weigh in on Oli’s political report at Central Committee meeting

KATHMANDU: The Central Committee meeting of the ruling CPN-UML, which commenced on Sunday, is set to continue today.

The meeting will take place at the party’s central office in Chyasal, Lalitpur, starting at 11 am.

During the session, central members will share their views on the 47-page political report presented by Chairperson KP Sharma Oli.

On the first day, 27 members offered their perspectives on the report, which delves into contemporary political dynamics and outlines the party’s future course of action.

Oli’s document provides an analysis of the current political landscape, addressing the party’s institutional position on various entities.

In the report, Oli adopts a relatively conciliatory approach towards coalition partner Nepali Congress. In contrast, he is sharply critical of the main opposition, the Maoist Center, reflecting an aggressive stance against the party.

Furthermore, Oli did not hold back in his remarks against royalists, accusing them of attempting to destabilize the country and create disorder.

The meeting is expected to further deliberate on these points, with central members contributing their insights to shape the party’s political strategy moving forward.
