KATHMANDU: The country is currently under the influence of westerly winds, with foggy weather affecting many areas of the Tarai.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the weather will be partly cloudy in the hilly regions of Lumbini, Karnali, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while the rest of the country will experience mostly clear skies this afternoon.

Tonight, the weather will be partly to generally cloudy in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

The Department has also forecasted the possibility of fog in many places across the Tarai and Kathmandu Valley on Friday morning.

It has urged the public to remain vigilant, as this could impact daily life, health, transportation, and aviation.
