Winter session of Lumbini Provincial Assembly begins today

KATHMANDU: The winter session of the Lumbini Provincial Assembly is set to commence today at 2 pm.

The Provincial Council of Ministers had earlier recommended convening the fifth session, which is expected to address key legislative agendas.

During today’s session, the Speaker is anticipated to read out correspondence received from the Provincial Chief’s office and deliver a congratulatory address on behalf of the assembly’s parties.

A significant item on the agenda for this session is the in-principle agreement on the concept paper of the Provincial Film Bill, signaling legislative progress in the cultural sector.

The fourth session of the Provincial Assembly concluded on September 16.

This winter session is expected to set the tone for discussions on various legislative and policy matters critical to the province.
